Carol A. Robertson, 82, of Bourbon, MO passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 12, 2022.

Carol Ann (Voss) Robertson was born on May 21, 1940 in Sullivan, MO to the late Henry L. and Frances Ann (Friesenhan) Voss. She grew up and attended school in Bourbon and graduated from Bourbon High, class of 1958. She began working at Junior’s Butcher Shop at an early age. Carol was united in marriage to Vernon George Robertson on April 23, 1960 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Bourbon.

Carol was a Teacher’s Aide for many years, and also ran the restaurant for Keith’s Sale Barns through the years. Carol volunteered at the Bourbon Thrift Shop and she enjoyed attending community events. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, as well as a trustee for Hill Cemetery.

Carol loved attending family activities and especially cherished her grandchildren. She really just loved people and visiting with everyone. Carol will be forever remembered and missed by her family and friends.

Carol is survived by two sons, Keith and Bruce Robertson, both of Bourbon, MO; daughter-in-law, Charlene Mincemeyer of Leslie, MO; four grandchildren: Travis Robertson and wife Rachel of Bourbon, MO, Jenna Young and significant other, Jason Griffin, of Steelville, MO, Haley Robertson of Sullivan, MO, and Brittany Robertson and significant other, Shane Forsman, of Bourbon, MO; seven great-grandchildren: Trevor, Jori, Clyton, Ally, Gage, Sage, and Colton; special nieces, Susan Hinck and husband Steve of Springfield, MO and Nancy Schmidt and husband Gale of Leasburg, MO; special lifelong friends: Janet Kruse, Janet Sappington, Frances Bell, Carol Clonts, and Evelyn Eaton; along with other extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Robertson; her parents, Henry and Frances Voss, Sr.; and one brother, Henry Voss, Jr.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Concordia Lutheran Church of Bourbon with Pastors John Roach and Dennis Roedemeier officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, prior to the service at Concordia Lutheran Church.

Memorial contributions in Carol’s memory may be made to Hill Cemetery.
