Carol Lee Bridwell

Carol Lee Bridwell was born on November 13, 1942 and passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024 with her daughters by her side. She was 81 years old.
Carol Lee was the fourth born child of John James Harmon and Elnora Flanigan Harmon. She was the baby sister of the family. Her childhood home was small, but it was always full of love and laughter. She loved all her brothers and sisters so much. Carol graduated from Sullivan High School where she played varsity volleyball and loved rooting for the Sullivan Eagles!!
After graduating high school, Carol moved to St. Louis where she worked as an office manager and secretary for one of the largest Christian organizations in St. Louis. She climbed the ranks rather quickly with her smart wit, ambitious attitude, and determination for success. It was in St. Louis where she met the love of her life, Earl Wayne Bridwell Jr., and they were married 6 months after their first date. Shortly after marriage, they relocated to Oklahoma City where they raised two beautiful daughters, Kamm and Kyla. Carol loved her daughters; they were all best friends. She loved being a mother to them and devoted herself to giving them the best life possible.
Carol was a firecracker, full of personality, and a real "go getter". Carol always had her own sense of style and flair. She was always smiling and looking her Sunday best!! It was Carol who was the driving force for Earl, and together they worked as a dynamic duo. Carol had a passion for real estate and had a natural talent for finding valuable properties to develop. She was a true success story proving the American dream is alive and well. Carol and Earl worked, saved, and built thriving businesses, and they bestowed their extraordinary wisdom and incomparable work ethic to their children and grandchildren. Carol treasured her husband and her two daughters, and she cherished the role of "Gigi" to her beloved grandchildren. She loved everyone so much. We will always remember her for her infectious smile, charisma, charm, and amazing sense of fashion!! She was simply the best!!!
Carol is survived by her daughter's, Kamm Howie and Kyla Jacobson, her son's-in-law, John Howie Jr. and Eric Jacobson, and her grandchildren, John Howie, III, Jake Howie, Hartley Howie, and Ethan Jacobson. She is also survived by her beloved nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. The family will be gathering for a burial service at The Little Chapel of Roses at Resthaven Cemetery in South Oklahoma City at 3:00 pm on July 20, 2024. The family is hosting a celebration of life to honor Carol at Cattleman's Steakhouse at 5:00 pm after the service.
