Carol Jean Cowhick
Carol Jean Cowhick, 76, of Sullivan, MO, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 20, 2022.
Carol was born in St. Louis, MO, on January 20, 1946, to Jack Lynn and Marguerite (Davis) Bach. She grew up and attended school in Sullivan, and graduated with the high school class of 1962. Carol went on to attend the Kansas City Art Institute, where she received her Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts. This is also where she met the love of her life, James Cowhick. They were united in marriage on September 3, 1965, and to this union they had three boys: Edward, Robert, and Jaime. They settled in the Stanton, MO area to raise their family.
For most of her working life, Carol was employed as an advertising manager for Giland Equipment & Tool. In her retirement years, she and James spent much of their time caring for and tending to their property. Carol also loved gardening and drawing. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family and friends.
Carol is survived by her three sons: Edward Cowhick of Sullivan, MO, Robert Cowhick of Cuba, MO, and Jaime Cowhick and wife Shawna of Sullivan, MO; six grandchildren: Tessa Cowhick of Sullivan, MO, Tracy, Brandon, and Shawn Cowhick, all of St. Louis, MO, and Zoie and Zack Cowhick, both of Illinois; two great-grandchildren, Jersey Jean and Bayley Mars; a sister, Rita Heady of Bourbon, MO; three brothers-in-law, Charles, David, and Floyd Cowhick, all of Kansas City, MO; two sisters-in-law, Darlene Cowhick of Kansas City, MO and Rosalie Gibson of Kansas City, KS; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cowhick; her great-granddaughter, Mia Love; her parents, Jack and Marguerite Bach; two brothers, Bob and Jim Bach; and one sister, Wanda Fudge.
Cremation arrangements have been made. No services will be held.
