Brian Isom, 52, of Sullivan, MO, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from a heart condition he fought for many years.

Brian Dean Isom was born July 18, 1970 to J.R. and Vicki (Hollis) Isom in Washington, Missouri.  He grew up and attended school in Sullivan, graduating with the class of 1988.  After high school Brian attended Southwest Missouri State to pursue studies in business.  Later, he came back to work with his family at Meramec Canoe Rental and eventually Blue Springs Ranch in Bourbon, Missouri.

Brian enjoyed years of friendship with Jill Creek and to this companionship their son Troy was born.  Years later he was blessed with a daughter, Emi.  He had an extreme passion for Nascar, especially racing late model stock cars.  In 1993, Brian was named Nascar Late Model Sportsman Rookie of the year in Lebanon and Bolivar, MO.  He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was talented at woodworking and welding. He was deeply creative and his talent allowed him to produce great projects and ingenuity while working at the Ranch. He was quite the prankster and loved to pull a fast one on you. Those who knew Brian knew of his fierce desire to live life on his own terms and if he loved you, then you were along for the ride of a lifetime!  He will be missed by his family and many friends.

Brian is survived by his children: Troy Creek and Emi Isom, both of Sullivan, MO; his parents, J.R. and Vicki Isom, of Bourbon, MO; a sister: Staci Budde and husband Ryan of St. Charles, MO; two nieces: Adison & Averi Budde of St. Charles, MO; a granddaughter: Gracie May; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Courtleigh “Dean” and Minerva “Mike” Hollis; paternal grandparents, Doyle Sr. and Nedra Isom; and an aunt Sharon and Uncle Gene Dixon.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Rustic River Event Center at Blue Springs Ranch, Bourbon, MO.
