Branden William Caltry, 40, of Bourbon, MO, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Branden was born April 6, 1981 in Kirkwood, MO, to Charles G. and Wanda Kay (West) Caltry. He grew up and attended school in Sullivan and was a grad of Sullivan High School. From an early age, Branden loved working on heavy equipment, and as he grew into a young man, he went to work for Local 513 as an operating engineer. He spent his life doing this.

Branden married Kara Blankenship and to this union their son, Nolan, was born. Branden was an avid hunter and fisherman. He treasured many memories made spending time with Nolan and hunting and fishing together.

Branden was known for the biggest and best smile. He had a heart of gold and would give anyone the shirt off of his back. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by many.

Branden is survived by his son, Nolan Caltry, of Sullivan, MO; his parents, Chuck and Kay Caltry, of Sullivan, MO; his sister, Ashley Caltry, and significant other, Hallie Davis, of Sullivan, MO; his nephew, Brodyn Huebner, of Sullivan, MO; his niece, Briella Huebner, of Sullivan, MO; his grandparents, Paul and Joyce Caltry, of Sullivan, MO; two uncles, Tony Caltry and wife, Lisa, of Sullivan, MO, and Gary West and wife, Karin, of Steelville, MO; four aunts: Paula Walker of Springfield, MO, Pam Lock and husband, Jeff, of Sullivan, MO, Patti Krueger and husband, Greg, of Sullivan, MO, and Darla West of Leasburg, MO; special friends, Jim Strube of Sullivan, MO, and Tracy Peterson of Sullivan, MO; as well as other extended relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Madeline West; and four uncles: Joe Caltry, Richard West, Roger West and Rich Walker.

Visitation was held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.

Funeral services was 10 a.m., Friday, July 2, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan. Interment followed in Lea Cemetery – Leasburg, MO.

Memorial contributions in Branden’s memory may be made to the Nolan Caltry Benefit Fund C/O FSCB.
