Bonnie Faye (Turnbough) Mercer

Bonnie Faye (Turnbough) Mercer, 78, formerly of Bourbon, Mo left this life peacefully in her sleep at Shiloh Nursing and Rehab Center Springdale, Arkansas on March 23, 2024.

 

She was born July 28, 1945 to John Leonard and Dorothy (Barr) Turnbough in Steelville Mo.

 

She attended Steelville schools and was united in marriage to John Mercer Jr. on March 17, 1963. Together they had four children and made their home in Bourbon, Mo.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and entertaining many family gatherings at our home over the years. She also enjoyed crafts, puzzles, games, playing bingo, reading, classic country music and going to concerts.

 

In later years she made her home in Branson, Mo and Arkansas where she worked for nursing facilities and Tyson Foods.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents John Leonard and Dorothy (Barr) Turnbough. Sisters Alvina Housewright, Arbell Chew, Barbara Logan and brothers Mona Lee Turnbough, Robert Turnbough, and William Turbough.

 

She is survived by her daughter Patricia and husband Jason Arnold of Bourbon, Mo; John (David) Mercer of St. Clair, Mo; Gary (Mickey) and wife Janet Mercer of Piggott, Arkansas; Christopher (Jay) and wife Anna of Cuba, Mo; Granddaughters Megan Mercer, Megan (Shaney) Rasmussen and Amber Gwinn; Great Granddaughters Paityn Mercer, Cadence Rasmussen, and Skyana Gwinn. One grandson Joshua (Michael) Arnold, and one Great Grandson David Rasmussen Jr.
Three sisters Wanda and husband James Heads of Green Forest, Arkansas; Catherine Mercer of Berryville, Arkansas; Sue Pliler of Springdale, Arkansas; one brother Gary and wife Kathy Turnbogh of Berryville, Arkansas and many other family and friends.

 

Final wishes were for no services and cremation.
