Betty Marie Pennock

Betty Marie Pennock (nee Ryerson), 89, of Bourbon, MO, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 27, 2024. 

 

Betty was born June 4, 1934, in Crawford County, MO, to Jess and Ruby (nee Winters) Ryerson. She was later united in marriage to Lloyd Dale Pennock on August 5, 1950. Together they were blessed with three children: Rosalie, David and Judy.

 

Betty was the sweetest lady. Always having tremendous love for her children, grandchildren and even their pets. She herself had a beloved dog, Maxie. She never met a stranger and always found the best in everyone. Betty was a caretaker for DSFC for many years. Her love for people showed in the love and care she provided for them. She loved working outdoors and had a passion for decorating her home. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Betty loved music from an early age and was a talented guitar player. You could often find her strumming to gospel and country music classics. Anytime she had a chance she would share her love for Jesus.

 

She is survived by two daughters: Rosalie Labbee and husband Clifton of Bourbon, MO, and Judy Payne and husband David of Bourbon, MO; a son, David Pennock and wife Cathy of Bourbon, MO; a step daughter, Crystal Ledbetter and husband Scott of Sullivan, MO; 15 grandchildren: Nathan Labbee and Makayla Smith of Bourbon, MO, Katrina Decker of Sullivan, MO, C.J. Labbee and wife Rachael of Springfield, MO, Teresa Walker of St. Louis, MO, Shelly Sobba and husband John of Desoto, MO, David Pennock Jr. and Sonya Patton of Bourbon, MO, Sheri Wolfe and husband Jacob of New Freedom, PA, Chris Keogh and wife Erin of Salem, MO, David Payne and wife Natalie of Omaha, NE, Simon Payne of Germany, Sarah Treis and husband Jeremy of Bourbon, MO, Amber Ault and husband Eric of Salem, UT, Stephanie Wolfe and husband Scott of Spanish Fork, UT, Wyatt Ledbetter of Sullivan, MO, Lilly Ledbetter of Sullivan, MO, and Josh Ackerman of Sullivan, MO; numerous great-grandchildren, great - great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lloyd Pennock; along with her parents, Jess and Ruby (nee Winters) Ryerson; two grandchildren, Amanda Labbee and Ashley Payne; one great-grandson, Carter Payne; six brothers: Russell, John, Louis, Daniel, Donald and Charles Ryerson.

 

Funeral services will be 12 PM, Friday May 31, 2024, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri. Interment will follow at the New Rock Cemetery in Bourbon, Missouri. 

 

 

Visitation will be 10 – 12 PM, Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Eaton Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
