Betty Lou Piezuch (Pilkenton) went to celebrate Christmas with Jesus, Dad and Benjamin on December 25th 2021 at the age of 81. She drifted away peacefully in her sleep at Missouri Baptist Hospital – Sullivan.

Betty was born to Ben and Edith Pilkenton in Sullivan on September 23, 1940. She attended and graduated from Sullivan High School, class of 1958. She met Franklin Piezuch and they were united in Holy Matrimony at Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Church on June 20th 1959. She took her faith very seriously. They made their home in the Japan/Strain area. To their union two children were born, Pamela and Randy.

Through the years, Betty worked at Midwest Shoe Company in Japan, MO, the former Rose Café in Sullivan, as a secretary for the Sullivan Middle School and later finished out her working years at Paramount Headwear in Gerald and then later in Bourbon.

Betty loved going to Gascony Village and boat riding. She enjoyed gardening, raising pigs and working on the farm. She was very talented with a sewing machine, crocheting, and any kind of crafts. She was a great cook and if you ever left the house hungry, it was your own fault. Betty loved her family more than anything, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was willing to help others whenever needed.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Pam Ahrens and husband, Buck of Bourbon; her son, Randy Piezuch and wife Brenda of Sullivan; her grandchildren: Blane Ahrens, Cole Ahrens and wife Cari, Josh Brooks and wife Jennie, all of Bourbon, Samantha Schaumberg and husband Tim, and Elizabeth Piezuch and significant other Jordan Erfling of Herman; great-grandchildren: Dominick Ahrens of Bourbon, Jase Schaumberg of Herman, Brady and Carter Brooks of Bourbon, and Jacob and Rebeka White of Bourbon; special nieces & nephews: Audrey Pappas, Ronald Schmitt, Sandy Morrow and Norman Pearce & family; as well as other nieces & nephews, extended relatives & friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; one grandson, Benjamin Piezuch; her parents, Ben and Edith (Cooper) Pilkenton; one sister, Alta Pilkenton; two brothers, Richard and Larry Pilkenton; and her in-laws, Philip & Lilian Piezuch.
