Betty L. Williams, 87 of Sullivan, MO, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, surrounded by her family.            

Betty Lee Carr was born on August 8, 1936, in Crocker, MO, to the late Clifford Drew and Anna Victoria (Roam) Carr. She grew up and attended school in Crocker.    She was united in marriage to Alfred Orlean Williams on February 8, 1953, and they were blessed with 70 years of marriage. Two sons were born to their union, Clifford and Richard.  Al and Betty made their home and raised their sons in Ballwin. Betty was employed for many years at the Tri-City Animal Clinic.   In 1975, Al and Betty purchased Mike’s Resort at Lake of the Ozarks, where Betty ran the place while Al worked for Union electric. They made several improvements including additional cabins, a store and swimming pool.  In 1985, they sold the resort, remaining at the Lake, specifically Linn Creek. They made their final home in Sullivan to be close to their son Cliff and their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty was a Christian and of the Baptist faith, she most recently attended First Assembly of God.

Betty is survived by one son, Clifford Williams and wife Cindra of Sullivan, MO; three grandchildren, Melissa Hampton and husband Benjamin of Bourbon, MO, Lindsey Jasper and husband Benjamin of Washington, MO, Dean Williams; five great-grandchildren, Thea and Rhett Hampton, Nolan and Landon Jasper, and Alister Williams; three sisters, JoAnn Foster and husband Joe of Dixon, MO, Marilyn Wools of Dixon, MO, D`Ann Duncan and husband Stanley of Houston, MO; nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Williams; her son Richard Williams; one sister, Anna Marie Comfort; and one brother, Dean Carr.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 PM, Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Kyle Phillips officiating. Cremation will follow.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Wednesday, at the Eaton Funeral Home.
