Betty L. Goodman

Betty L. Goodman, age 84, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Life Care Center of Sullivan.
Betty Lou was born in Pinckneyville, IL, July 1, 1936, to Leo and Mabel (Larow) Louis. She grew up in Illinois and St. Louis. Betty was a longtime employee of Wondermaid in Washington, MO, where she worked as a seamstress. She was a wonderful seamstress and also crocheted beautiful lace dollies.
Betty was a sassy, independent woman. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers and plants. Betty also liked lottery tickets, eating at Cracker Barrel, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was known for her delicious cinnamon rolls that she made for all holidays and birthdays. Betty’s beloved dog, Sweetie, was her pride and joy.
Betty is survived by her three daughters: Debie Goodman of Sullivan, MO, Terry Thomeczek and husband, Kenny, of Sullivan, MO, and Sherry Schatz of Sullivan, MO; five grandchildren: Melissa Martin of Sullivan, MO, Zeb Thomeczek of Willington, SC, Craig Hamann of Owensville, MO, Nate Thomeczek of Spring Bluff, MO, and Cory Hamann of Bourbon, MO; nine great-grandchildren: Michala, Makenzie and Drake Martin, Calye, Gage and Corbyn Hamann, Logan Thomeczek, Kami and Griffin Hamann; one brother, Bob Louis and wife, Ruth, of Imperial, MO; one sister, Marilyn Pittman of Union, MO; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bud and Joan Adams and family of Spring Bluff, MO, Anne Goodman and family of Sullivan, MO, and Ray and Shirley Goodman and family of Spring Bluff, MO; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Mabel Louis; and one sister, Shirley Perryman.
Cremation arrangements have taken place. A memorial graveside service was held 10 a.m., Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Cave Spring Cemetery in Sullivan.
