Betty J. Brant, 91, of Sullivan, Missouri passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Crabapple Village, surrounded by her loving family.

Betty Jane Brant was born June 12, 1930 to Henry and Irene (Snelson) Roster in Saint James, Missouri. She grew up and attended school in Saint James. Shortly after school she ventured to Saint Louis to live with her sister Clara, and began work there. She soon met Victor, the love of her life, while living in Saint Louis.

Together they were united in marriage in Forest Park on August 3, 1950. To their union they were blessed with five children: Roger, Linda, Ron, Dan & Mark. Betty and Victor soon moved to St. Clair where they continued to raise their family. Betty was employed at the Sullivan Community Hospital for many years, until her retirement in 1992.

Betty loved and treasured spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with her friends. Betty was a fantastic cook and was well known for her famous chocolate pie. She will be so dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She is survived by her five children: Roger Brant and wife Rosemary of Cuba, MO, Ron Brant and wife Kay of Greenbrier, TN, Dan Brant of St. Clair, MO, Mark Brant and wife Donna of St. Clair, MO and Linda Thurman of St. Clair, MO; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; six great – great grandchildren; a brother, Harold Roster of Camdenton, MO; a sister, Harriet Sedlack of Pittsburgh, PA; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; a great-grandchild, Rylee Brant; a daughter in law, Jeannena Brant; her parents; three brothers: Randy, Ralph & Raymond Roster; and a sister, Clara Venable.

Funeral services will be 12 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home with Pastors Dave & Josh Wright officiating. Interment will follow at New Cave Spring Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Testament Baptist Church.
