Bernetta J. Beckett, 89, passed from this life to her eternal rest on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in Walnut Shade, MO.

Bernetta Jane Mercer Beckettå was born on August 25, 1932 to Carric and Florence (Greenlee) Mercer. She was raised on Hinch Creek where she met her future husband. On August 25, 1949, Bernie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Oren Monroe Beckett. They started a family in the same home they shared until Oren’s passing 2003. They were blessed with two children, Linda in 1951 and Larry in 1954. She lived her life as a wife, mother, and a homemaker, except for a short time while she was employed at Fashion Shoe.

Bernie was profound in loving her family and the Lord. Her love of God led her family to share in her faith. Her most precious gift she gave to her family was her prayers. Her family depended on her ceaseless and unwavering prayers. Each prayer she spoke will never be forgotten, by God or her family.
