Sullivan Youth Campers Take The Track And Field

The Sullivan High School Track and Field program held its youth camp from June 9 to 11. The 2nd to 8th graders mastered the fundamentals of events such as the hurdles, shot put, pole vault and jumps.

On the final day, the campers participated in a banana relay, substituting the fruit for a baton. The team that carried the banana across the track first won. Then, the final runners were tasked with eating the banana as fast as possible. 

Following that, the youth had the opportunity to chase down the high schoolers with water guns and balloons.Then, the campers were rewarded popsicles from coaches Zach Carey and Terry Wood for their hard work on the track and field.
