Beagle And Head Lead The Way At Union Invitational

Sullivan’s track and field team racked up medals at the Don Olszowka Invitational on Apr. 15. They finished ninth overall in Union, with the boys earning 38 points and the girls scoring 32.61.

Zechariah Beagle won the 400-meter dash in 54 seconds. William Hunter also raced the event for the Eagles and took fourth (54.73).

Karlee Head landed first in the long jump with a leap of 5.15 meters, and Katelyne Carpenter followed at fourth place (4.88m).

Carpenter was also the runner-up in the triple jump (9.82m), and Jayson Summers ranked second in the 300-meter hurdles (41.51).

Daveah McClain received bronze in the 100-meter hurdles at 16.74 seconds.

Peyton Malady medaled at fifth in the triple jump (11.48m), and Sarina Reinwald landed the same spot in the high jump (1.4m).

Zaiden Marler earned hardware for his sixth-place finish in the pole vault (3.2m). 

The boys’ 4x400-meter relay team came in at sixth in their race (3:44.80). Its runners were Beagle, Hunter, Summers and Marler.
