MoDOT Closes Route D/Route WW Bridge Over Interstate 44 For At Least A Week For Emergency Repairs
MoDOT closed the bridge on Sunday, February 16, after a semi-truck carrying an oversized load struck it. The Route D/Route WW overpass will remain closed for at least a week, as further inspection is necessary to determine the full extent of repairs.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, including Route 185/ Elmont Road if accessing the road from the west portion of the bridge and Route AF if accessing the road from the east portion of the bridge. Drivers can also use North and South Outer Service Roads to travel around the bridge closure.
