Boys Basketball Spends Week In The Tigers’ Den
The varsity boys (1-13) are still searching for their second win heading into week six. They fell to last place at the St. James Invitational, which took place from Jan. 20 to 25. Sullivan lost 64-23 to Rolla (15-2), 54-45 to Cuba (8-6) and 56-32 to Waynesville (5-9).
The Eagles will continue their road trip to Herculaneum. They aim to rebound in the 10th Annual Bruce Thomas Tournament, held from Jan. 27 to 31.
Sullivan will tip off the following week at Salem on Feb. 3, then return home to tackle Hermann and St. Clair.
Despite their trials, head coach Kobe Wands is proud of his squad for continuing to give it their all. He stated, “As a team, we have really shown strides of selfless basketball and are coming to the realization that it isn’t just about one person, but a team effort.”
Wands also praised senior Seth Valley, sharing he “has really stepped up and been a vocal leader for us.”
