Girls Wrestling Brings Home Conference Medals
The Lady Eagles clinched five podium spots at a conference tournament in St. Clair on Jan. 14.
Dorie Richardson (26-0) and Abigail Erfurth (22-5) were the champions of their classes. Chloe Carson (17-10) placed second, then Ruby Daily (18-6) and Katie Summers (13-16) took third. Autumn (5-16) and Starr (3-13) Hardesty finished fourth against Four Rivers competition.
Sullivan ranked fourth and tied Union with 172 points. St. Clair (429) won the tournament, Owensville (256) followed as the runner-up, Pacific (179) took bronze and St. James (57) rounded out at sixth.

Richardson (140) remained undefeated and won her fourth straight conference title. The senior brought down Abigail Stoker (Pacific) at 1:35, Macy Naes (St. Clair) at 3:11, Tori Hudson (St. James) at 1:09 and Chloe Richardson (Union) at 1:00.
Erfurth (235) won her second consecutive championship. The sophomore rested with byes during her first four rounds, then brought the boom to Emma Bay (St. Clair) at 0:44.
Carson (155) finished second and went 3-1 in her class. She first locked up Harlie Humphrey (St. Clair) in 0:45 and Marissa Johnson (Pacific) in 3:19. The sophomore lost her third bout to Rylee Dare (Owensville) but rebounded with a 2:21 pin over Alex Dierberg (Union).
Summers (190) clinched third on the podium. She wrapped up Lexis Manning (Owensville) in 0:46 for her sole victory. The senior fell in her other two bouts and received two byes.
Daily (170) earned bronze at the Four Rivers Tournament. She won her first fight against Gabrielle Guenzler (Pacific) with a 0:29 takedown. The senior faced tough competition at the end, falling to the 15-3 Bailee Dare (Owensville) and 27-5 Alivia Webb (St. Clair).
Autumn (125) and Starr (145) Hardesty placed fourth, going 1-3 at St. Clair. Autumn pinned Arianna Baguio (Owensville) in 1:42 for her only win, and Starr trapped Gracy Jones (Union) in 3:43.
