Boys Basketball Looks To Rebound In 2025
The Eagles (1-7) snatched their first win against Linn on Dec. 20. They clawed out the Wildcats 55-25 for seventh place in the Legends Bank Holiday Classic.
Sullivan tipped off its season at home with the FCNB Bank-It Championship. First, they lost 62-23 to Pacific, then 53-28 to Cuba and 51-36 to Steelville.
The Eagles started week two with a rough road match against Washington, falling 62-27. They later battled Eldon to the wire but came up short 41-37.
The following week, Sullivan opened the Linn Tournament with two losses to Osage (62-39) and Russellville (65-41). In the final round, the Eagles seized their first victory of the season against Linn.
Seth Valley currently leads the Eagles with 69 points and 13 assists. The senior has shot 22-55 of his field shots, 21-43 two-pointers and 24-35 free throws. He has played lights out, hauling in 38 rebounds and 10 steals. Valley was also named to the FCNB Bank-It Championship All-Tournament Team.
Peyton Malady put up 62 points in the first month of the season. He went 17-22 from the charity stripe while making 18 rebounds, six assists and four steals.
Robert York crashed the boards for a team-high 53 rebounds, 32 defensive and 21 offensive. The senior also delivered 31 points and three steals.
Raiden Redd topped the Eagles with 14 steals. The sophomore also snatched 29 points, 23 rebounds and four assists.
Cooper Donner dropped 39 points with five starts, 21 rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block.
Braxton Breen bagged 21 rebounds, 11 assists, 8 points and five steals.
In his five matches, Jared Toews tallied 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and a steal.
Spencer Thomure recorded 10 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and an assist.
Brayden White pulled down 19 boards and knocked in six points.
Landen Doza returned from injury during the Linn Tournament. In his first two games back, he racked up 16 points, six rebounds, two steals and an assist.
