Sullivan Hosts FCNB Bank-It Championship

Sullivan High School hosted the FCNB Bank-It Championship last week, treating six teams to hoop action and court drama.

Farmington was crowned the tournament champion, defending their top seed. The Knights were the winners of Pool A, crushing Steelville 80-56 and St. James 75-45. They stomped out the Trojans 58-51 for the title.

Potosi were the runners-up in the tournament. They beat the brakes off the Pool B competition, squashing Sullivan 62-23 and Cuba 61-43. 

Cuba clawed out St. James in the third-place matchup, routing the Tigers 49-41.

Steelville won the consolation, finishing fifth with a  51-36 stomping over Sullivan (6). 

Seth Valley represented the Eagles on the All-Tournament Team.

Logan Schaupert of Farmington was named the Most Valuable Player, helping lead Farmington to the title. His teammates Ryder Gollaher and Cannon Roth joined him on the All-Tournament Team.

Seven other players also earned a spot: Gage Harris (Steelville), Aiden Boone (St. James), Tate Gruver (St. James), Preston Heads (Cuba), Jesse Elrod (Cuba), Kanaan Wilson (Potosi) and Carter Whitley (Potosi).
