Athlete of the Week: Nolan Center

This week’s SHS Athlete of the Week is none other than Nolan Center. Center fills a huge role on his team and is a true leader. Center has proven his devotion to football each year, always exceeding his responsibilities on and off the field.

When meeting with Center, I asked a few questions. I asked, “How has football affected your life in high school?” He responded, “Football has affected my life in so many different ways. I’ve created some of my favorite friendships along with memories I’ll never forget. I have spent countless hours working for the sport I cherish, and it has been worth it.” Next, I asked him, “What has been your motivation to push to get better?” Center responded, “My motivation has been my mom and my dad. With the passing of my mother, it has motivated me to be better every day. I know that she would want me to work hard and get something out of each day, so that is what I do. My dad is my biggest supporter, and I don’t know what I would do without him. He pushes me to be great and never give up.”

Center is a phenomenal athlete and a textbook example of limitless determination, regardless of our situation.
