Lady Eagles Volleyball Shows Grit On The Court
In week three, Sullivan’s volleyball team (5-8) gave it their all on the court. They first faced Rolla (7-8-1) and St. Clair (10-6-2) on the road, then played three games at a West Plains quad tournament. Despite coming up short in their battles, the Lady Eagles put in their best effort against tough opponents.
Head coach Sarah Rochleau was proud of her team for fighting with grit through the six away games. “The challenges our team faced this week provided some important opportunities for growth,” she explained. “Nearly every one of our losses was a battle down to the wire. We showed that we can hang with some very good teams but are just having trouble closing the gap in a few areas. I am proud of the girls’ resilience and positive attitudes because losing is tough, but it is part of the process, and ultimately, I believe we will be better for it.”
