Softball Rallies To 4-3 Comeback Win Over Windsor
The Lady Eagles (3-3) led a two-run rally to overcome Windsor (0-1) on Thursday, Sept. 5. The 4-3 victory marked their second comeback win of the season.
In their first at-bats, Sullivan took a 2-0 lead. Ava Declue swung them into action with a ground ball single. Dorie Richardson homered for her first of the year, driving Declue in for a score.
The Lady Owls responded with a dinger, then two runs in their next drives.
The Lady Eagles found themselves on the ropes at the top of the 7th inning. Trailing by two scores, Rae Corwin rose to the plate and doubled on a line drive to left field. She then reached third base when Carli McCreary sacrificed herself on a bunt. Kynlee Peterson delivered the game-tying RBI with her grounder, allowing Corwin to score. Roach and Lohden then loaded up the bases, and Declue’s walk allowed Peterson to seize the game-winner.
