Lynn Elizabeth Trendle

Lynn Elizabeth Trendle, 53, of Japan, MO, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born in Manitowoc, WI, on September 22,1970, to her parents, Ronald and Elizabeth “Betty” (Ryan) Taube, Lynn’s early years were spent in the heart of Wisconsin.
Lynn’s journey took her from the familiarity of Manitowoc to Webster Groves, MO, where she and her family settled during her youth. As a proud graduate of Webster High School in 1989, she went on to earn a B.S. in Business Administration at what is now the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg and, later in life, a Masters of Science in Counselor Education from Missouri Baptist in St. Louis. She began her career in retail sales working for Venture and Target in different departments, helping customers find what they needed or checking them out.
1996 was a milestone year in Lynn’s life when she married her soulmate, Vernon “Alan” Trendle, on October 5. Their love blossomed into the birth of their cherished daughter, Jordan, who became the center of Lynn’s world.
Due to her creative flair and meticulous attention to detail, she excelled in the retail industry. She was pivotal to the growth of Dickey Bub Farm & Home and Outdoor Gear while working as a Purchasing Agent, setting up displays, and opening new stores across the state for twenty-one years. After that, she decided to work closer to home at PetSense in Sullivan, MO, where she happily enjoyed working and seeing the many different animals that came in the store.
In 2011, Lynn faced a new challenge when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). With unwavering courage, she participated in trials and tests, seeking treatment and contributing to the understanding of the disease until her final days. Despite her personal battle, Lynn’s spirit remained unbroken, and her resilience served as an inspiration to all who knew her.
Lynn’s love for life was evident in her varied interests. She was renowned as a “Trivia Queen,” with a vast knowledge of movies, actors/actresses, and music that often left friends and family in awe. As a lover of books, she often found solace and adventure within their pages. Her transition from city girl to country life was seamless as she embraced farm life. She loved naming the cows, and playing and talking with the pigs, dogs, and cats. They in turn loved and protected her.
Perhaps most endearing was Lynn’s devotion to her daughter, Jordan’s, pursuits. Whether it was early morning practices or long weekends, Lynn was a constant presence on and off the field, cheering on and supporting her daughter with unwavering pride and affection. Her presence at these events was a testament to her loving nature and her commitment to her family.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Lynn will remember her kind-hearted and caring demeanor, and her light-hearted approach to life. She was a source of support and comfort to her loved ones, a friend who could always be counted on, and a loving wife and mom whose memory will be cherished forever.
Even in death, she was a giving person. Lynn’s wish was to be an organ donor. Through her unwavering desire to help others, Lynn saved the lives of three people.
