Bonnie L. Rohr

Bonnie L. Rohr, 83, of Sullivan, Missouri passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024, in Washington, Missouri.
Mary Bonnie Lou Rohr was born on October 3, 1940, in Anthonies Mill, Missouri, to John and Dorothy (Medley) Richardson. Bonnie grew up and attended school in Cuba. After completing her schooling, she met and married Fredrick Ogle. Their union brought four wonderful children into the world: Roger, Karen, Fredrick, and Terry. Although her marriage to Fredrick later ended in divorce, Bonnie's role as a mother only grew stronger. She became the main provider for her family, demonstrating an extraordinary work ethic and dedication. Bonnie's resilience shone through as she juggled three jobs at times, ensuring her children had everything they needed.
In 1981, Bonnie and her family settled in Sullivan, Missouri, where she continued to be the rock of her household. For 17 years, she poured her heart into her work as a cook at the Bobber Cafe, followed by another 14 years at Sudsy's.
Bonnie had a passion for bingo, crocheting, gardening, and croquet. Music was a significant part of Bonnie's life; she enjoyed singing, playing guitar, and the omnichord. Bonnie loved bluegrass music and she eagerly anticipated the Richardson Family Reunions.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Bonnie was the embodiment of support and presence. She never missed a chance to cheer on her children and grandchildren at sporting events, and her encouragement was a constant source of inspiration for them. Bonnie's sense of humor and storytelling were legendary, and she had a unique ability to captivate an audience with tales from her childhood.
Bonnie's generosity knew no bounds. She was the kind of person who would give her last dime to help someone in need, always putting the well-being of her family and friends above her own. Her big heart and selfless nature were evident in every aspect of her life, from the way she raised her children to the way she interacted with those around her.
Traveling was another joy for Bonnie, who relished the opportunity to explore the United States with her siblings. These trips were not just adventures but a chance to strengthen the bonds she held so dear. Bonnie will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Bonnie is survived by her four loving children: Roger Richardson of Owensville, MO, Karen Fritz of Sullivan, MO, Fredrick Ogle and fiancé Gerri Thorpe of Rockford, IL and Terry Ogle and wife Michelle of Saint Charles, MO; 14 grandchildren: Nathan, Kyle and wife Rachel, Calvin and wife Kaeyty, Dylan, and Miranda Richardson, Stephenie Ransom and husband Alex, Kerri Lewis and husband Shane, Christie Fritz and life partner Mike Froning, Alex Fritz and wife Brittany, Jacob Fritz and fiancé Maddi Cook, Chrystal Cox, Lela Ogle; 12 great – grandchildren: Amelia, Liam, Madelyn, Gavin, Bailey, Avery, Ryker, Kaylee, Elijah, Gabriel, Ava and Lily; two sisters, Irene Britton of Michigan and Barbara Jenkins of Sullivan, MO; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
