‘TIME TO SLAM NOW.’  There was a ‘real jam going down’ at the youth boys basketball camp, held from July 9-11. It was split into two sections: the 3rd-5th graders shared the first half of the afternoon, while the 6th-8th graders followed afterward. Each attendee received a t-shirt for their efforts; some kids brought home awards. Photo via Sullivan High School Facebook

Future Stars Take The Court At Basketball Camp

New Eagles boys basketball head coach Kobe Wands led a youth camp at Sullivan Middle School from July 9 to 11.

Both 3rd-5th and 6th-8th graders got to shine on the court with competitions and master the fundamentals of the sport. They sharpened their dribbling, passing and shooting skills through drills led by current high school players.

Wands’s main message for the students was that greatness comes from practicing routinely, whether off the court, with friends, or at home. The youth left the camp with more love and a greater passion for basketball.
