Fraternal Order Of Eagles 12U Cap Off A Perfect Season
The Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) 12U team capped off their perfect season with a 16-8 victory over 7 Cedars on Thursday, June 27.
FOE head coach Joe Starr could not have been any prouder of his squad for accomplishing the difficult feat of going undefeated. The final message he wants to give his team is to continue playing baseball even with the season wrapped up. Starr wants his boys to continue their love of the game and suggests they can play catch with a ball or be on a travel team to continue improving. He also thanked every sponsor who helped fund the youth league this year and gave the opportunity for each kid to play the sport.
In their final season matchup, FOE clawed through the bases for 16 runs, 13 hits, 12 RBIs and eight walks on 25 at-bats.
Jakx S. stacked up a team-high three runs with two RBIs, a hit and a walk.
Wylly S. led FOE with 3 RBIs. He also glided to two runs and two hits.
Ryker S. swooped up a team-high three walks as well as two runs.
Evan R. led with three hits and flew home twice.
Kain S. gathered two runs, an RBI, a hit and a walk.
Wesley O. and Lucas S. marked up a run, an RBI, a hit and a walk.
Greyson C. landed two hits, a run and an RBI.
Jace B. brought in a run, an RBI and a hit.
Cole R. snatched 2 RBIs and a hit.
Evan E. soared to home plate and also recorded a walk.
Kain S. was the first to take the hill for FOE and hurled three strikeouts in three innings.
Lucas S. relieved him on the mound at the top of the third. He struck out three batters while giving up no hits or runs.
Greyson C. pitched the next inning, throwing a no-hitter and executing a strikeout.
Ryker S. was FOE’s final pitcher and shut the door on 7 Cedars for the victory.
7 Cedars
7 Cedars head coach Michael Whalen is also very proud of his team for giving it their all every game this season. He stated, “I am proud of each and every one of them for playing to the best of their abilities every game, and I just want to thank them for allowing me to teach them how to compete at the great game of baseball!”
His team chopped up 12 walks, eight runs, 4 RBIs and a hit with 15 batting appearances against FOE.
Adyn Bowen cut through the diamond for two runs, an RBI and a walk.
Jaxton Whalen logged two runs, a hit and a walk.
Jaxson Ahrens collected 2 RBIs, two walks and a run.
Elliott Whalen picked up a run, an RBI and a walk.
Kameron Schoenhoff took a team-high three walks.
Jack Stroup racked up two walks and a run.
Carter Greenlee notched a run and a walk.
Kelston Isgriggs walked once. He also pitched the first two innings for 7 Cedars and struck out a batter.
Ahrens came out of the bullpen during the bottom of the 3rd and pounded a strikeout.
J. Whalen finished the game with two strikeouts.
