John R. Jones, born on October 4, 1956, in Monte Vista, Colorado, was a man whose legacy of love and generosity profoundly shaped the lives of all who were privileged to know him. He passed away peacefully surrounded by love on May 29, 2024, in Washington, completing a life journey marked by devotion to his family, a passion for the great outdoors, and a knack for bringing joy and laughter to those around him.

John's life was one of enduring companionship blessed by his marriage to Barbara Louise Stone on December 6, 1980, in Booneville, Missouri. Together, they raised their children, Teneya and John Micheal, with the values of hard work and the importance of family

John demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and a remarkable talent for mechanics. His career transitioned from automotive repairs to working on farm implements, where his skills were not just appreciated but depended upon. His natural aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing machinery was mirrored in the care and attention he devoted to every task he undertook.

John's love for nature was evident to all. Hunting, fishing and horseback riding were among his favorite pursuits, allowing him to immerse himself in the tranquility and beauty of the wild. His green thumb was legendary, especially when it came to nurturing flowers—a hobby he delighted in as a gift to his beloved Barb.

Those who knew John were touched by his loving nature and generosity. His penchant for teasing and laughter earned him the affection of many, particularly his grandchildren, whom he absolutely adored. His passing leaves a void that will be felt by his family, friends, and all the lives he touched.

John's qualities of being loving and generous, and his legacy of warmth and laughter will endure through the stories that will be told and the memories that will be cherished by those left to continue the journey without him.
