Boys Basketball Lands Sixth At Herky Tourney
Varsity boys basketball (2-15) finished 6th place for their first time playing at the 10th Annual Bruce Thomas Tournament in Herculaneum.
They snapped an eight-game losing skid in their 46-41 victory over seventh-seeded Hancock (4-12). Sullivan fell 44-34 to the third-seeded Pacific (5-9) in their first round and lost 53-47 to the eighth-seeded Herky (6-10) in the consolation.
Chris Glaser earned a spot on the All-Tournament team. He led his team with 56 points and 18 rebounds throughout the tournament. Glaser also recorded five steals, a 10-14 free throw ratio and an 18-36 field goal ratio. He tied for the highest number of assists at 6 with Seth Valley and Matthew Mallory.
Valley led the Eagles with six steals and made 20 points with 15 rebounds. He shot 8–12 of his field goals and went 4–11 from the free throw line.
Mallory grabbed 3 points and two steals.
Peyton Malady tallied up an impressive 26 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals. He completed 9-32 of his field goals and 1-2 of his free throws.
Max Avery racked up 14 points, 12 rebounds, two steals and an assist. He went 4-6 on free throws and 5-15 on field goals.
Mitchell Garner shot in 4 points, going 2-4 on field goals. He also had four rebounds and an assist.
Landen Doza recorded two rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Braxton Breen collected three rebounds.
