Girls Basketball Falls 57-36 In Potosi Rematch

The Lady Eagles lost 57-36 to Potosi in their first game after Winter Break on Thursday, Jan. 4. After a string of consecutive defeats by Steelville and Washington, the Lady Eagles were hoping to rebound with a victory.

Sullivan played Potosi earlier this season at the 9th Annual Fountain City Classic in DeSoto on Dec. 2, 2023, where they won 49-47.

In their rematch, Cora Shetley had a team-high of 7 points, seven rebounds, and an assist. She went 3–9 on field goals.

Hayli Venable racked up 6 points, four rebounds, three steals and an assist. She completed two out of six of her field goals.

Delaney George led her team with two assists. She also pulled off 3 points, three rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Rayna Claus made 5 points, four rebounds, an assist and a block. She went 2-4 on field goals and 1-2 on free throws.

Karlee Head delivered six rebounds, 5 points, an assist and a steal.

Kynlee Peterson tallied up five rebounds, 2 points, an assist and a steal, with a 2-4 free throw ratio.

Olivia Barton got 3 points and a rebound.

Raegan Johnson collected 3 points, a rebound and an assist.

Molly Lohden grabbed 2 points and two rebounds.
