William Earl Coy

William Earl Coy, 54, of Sullivan, MO, known affectionately as Bill to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO. Born on December 20, 1968, to William Newton and Dorothy Lee (Brown) Coy in St. Louis, Missouri, Bill was a man whose
kind and loving nature touched the lives of all who knew him.
Bill grew up in North Carolina, where he attended West Hendersonville High School finishing GED classes with Blue Ridge College. His early education laid the foundation for a life characterized by hard work and dedication. Bill began his career as a Parts Representative for Fabick CAT, where he was known for his expertise and personable nature. Eventually, he joined the Local 618, a position he held with pride until an illness prompted an early retirement. Despite this setback, Bill's resilient spirit never wavered.
A strong advocate for Grandparents Rights in Franklin County, Bill dedicated himself to making a difference in his community. His selflessness was evident in the way he engaged with his work and advocacy, always putting the needs of others at the forefront. On June 12, 1998, Bill married the love of his life, Loraine E. Pamer, in Warsaw, Indiana. Their union not only bonded them but also brought Bill immense joy as he inherited two daughters, Kayla and Lacey. He embraced his role as a father with all the love and attention that characterized everything he did.
An avid outdoorsman, Bill cherished the time he spent hunting and bass fishing. His love for the great outdoors extended to 4-wheeling and riding UTV’s on his property, activities that brought him closer to nature and provided countless hours of joy. Bill's passion for sports was evident
to anyone who knew him. He was a fervent supporter of St. Louis Blues hockey and enjoyed watching Cardinals baseball.
Bill's love for music was as diverse as it was profound. From the soulful strains of Blues to the energetic beats of Rock and the storytelling of Country, music was a constant companion and source of comfort throughout his life. His love for rhythm and melody often found its way into his life's many celebrations, from BBQs to family gatherings, where he also enjoyed playing board games, sharing laughter, and creating memories.
Those who knew Bill would describe him as the epitome of kindness. His selfless and loving nature made him a beacon of light in the lives of his family, friends, and colleagues. Bill's legacy is one of warmth, generosity, and a life lived with an open heart.
Bill is survived by his wife, Loraine; two daughters, Kayla L. Pamer and Lacey V. Demorne and husband, Roosevelt; 7 grandchildren: Logan M. Pamer and fiancée, Madaline Howard and Liam D. Chernasky, Mya, Aaliya, Kattileya, Estaniella, & Roosevelt; two sisters, Charlene M. Parker and Deborah C. Webb and husband Tim; three nephews: Cody L. Poteet, Josh Parker, and Dustin Webb; and numerous great nieces and nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Dorothy Coy; a nephew, Michael S. Crook; and a great nephew, Baby Aiden Poteet.
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
