Boys Basketball Face All Odds In Bank-It Tourney
The boys basketball team fell short in all of their three games played at the FCNB Bank-It Championship, finishing in last place for the tournament. Despite facing all odds, the Eagles showed a resilient attitude and never shied away from trying a comeback.
In the first round of the tournament, the Eagles (0-1) fell 43-33 against Cuba (1-0) on Monday, Nov. 27.
Sullivan (0-2) struggled to break through St. James (1-2) in a second-round 48-38 loss.
The Eagles (0-3) were defeated 50-33 by Steelville (1-2) in their final matchup and fell to 8th place.
Despite struggling in the FCNB Bank-It Championship, Sullivan remained tough, refused to give up and continued to fight even when a victory seemed far away.
They will continue to battle and hope to rebound against the Blue Jays on Tuesday, Dec. 5. Stats for the Washington game were not available at press time.
The Eagles will then travel to Eldon on Friday, Dec. 8 and play at 7:15 p.m.
In the following week, they will compete at the 62nd Annual Linn High School Holiday Basketball Tournament. Their first game will be on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 8:30 p.m.
