Lady Eagles Finish 3rd At Fountain City Classic
The Lady Eagles basketball team finished 3rd at the 9th Annual Fountain City Classic. After losing to Montgomery County in their season opener on Nov. 17, Sullivan bounced back with a high finish at the De Soto tournament.
They breezed through Jefferson in the first round on Monday, Nov. 27, then lost to St. Pius X in the semifinals the following Friday. The Lady Eagles redeemed themselves on the next day and beat Potosi to clinch 3rd place in overtime.
Their next game afterwards was at home against Warrenton on Monday, Dec. 4. Stats were unavailable at press time. They will play next on their home court in the Peoples Bank Holiday Classic Tournament, which will start on Monday, Dec. 11 and end Friday, Dec. 15.
