Girls Basketball Set To Soar In New Season

The varsity girls basketball team, led by head coach Jordan Flora, aims to improve upon their 11-15 record from last year and rebuild his team’s chemistry after a few key seniors graduated.

With seniors like Dakayla McClain, Kylee McReynolds, Abby Peterson and Olivia Witt graduating, Flora understands how there will need to be new leadership on the court. “We lost 4 starters from last year’s team, so this year we have multiple girls that are stepping into some bigger roles for us,” Flora continued to say about the roster rebuild. “I’m excited to see all of us as a group grow and develop throughout the season.”

They will face Montgomery County in their first regular-season game at home on Friday, Nov. 17. JV starts at 6 p.m. and varsity will immediately follow. Sullivan also had their season opener against the Wildcats in 2022, where they lost 36-34.
