Matthew "Matt" Ryan Meyer

Matthew "Matt" Ryan Meyer, 29 of Arnold, MO, left us on September 12, 2023. Matt was born on January 6, 1994, in St. Louis, MO, and passed from this life with his beloved family by his side.

Matt completed his education at Lindbergh High School, graduating with the class of 2012. His thirst for knowledge guided him towards an Associate's Degree in Computer Science, shaping his affinity for technology and intellectual exploration. His penchant for communication and his embracing personality were his greatest tools in his work at a convenience store and a plastics manufacturing warehouse.

A true lover of the outdoors, Matt found his serenity amid the woods and streams of his beloved Missouri family farm. He enjoyed evenings by the bonfire, crafted by his Uncle Terry, where tales were spun and laughter echoed. Matt was renowned for his narrative skills. He was also an avid reader and especially enjoyed books on Mythology.

In addition to his love for reading and intellectual discourse, Matt had a penchant for collecting knives and coins, while displaying an equal enthusiasm towards electronics. He was defined not merely by his interests, but his innate qualities of compassion and care that extended beyond his family circles to the community at large.

Matt's life was a medley of knowledge, friendships, spirit, and above all, love. His memory will continue to echo in the hearts of his loved ones, guiding them with the timeless wisdom and warmth that was the essence of Matthew "Matt" Ryan Meyer.

Matt was the cherished son of Vicki L. (Gibson) Meyer and the late William E. Meyer of Arnold, MO. He is also survived by one brother, Aaron Meyer of Arnold, MO; his uncles and aunts: Terry Gibson of Sullivan, MO, Rick Gibson with his wife Bonnie of Denver, CO, Jim Meyer, Robert Meyer, and his wife Donna all of California; and numerous other relatives and friends. They miss him dearly but find solace in the memories of a life lived fully and generously.

Matt was preceded in death by his father, William E. Meyer, and his grandparents, Raymond C. & Dorothy M. (Stanley) Meyer and Russell L. & Mary C. (Dodd) Gibson.  His spirit survives in every heart he touched and every life he enriched with his presence.

It was Matt’s wish to be cremated.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Rick Gibson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 PM, Saturday at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
