Carrie Lynn Carter – Brockman

Carrie Lynn Carter – Brockman, a beautiful daughter, sister and friend, passed away on August 5, 2023, in St. Louis, MO.  Born in Sullivan, Missouri, on November 5, 1976, she attended Sullivan High School, was a member of the cheerleading squad, and graduated in 1995. After graduation she moved to Colorado Springs to work and attend college.

Carrie later moved to St Louis, MO, where she was employed as the lead chef at Cafe’ Beignet with her great friend April Clark.  She was a very hard worker, holding different jobs from childcare assistant, administrative assistant to chef.  In addition to her love for cooking, one of Carrie Lynn’s favorite hobby was flower gardening.  She had a green-thumb and was so proud of all her beautiful flowers and plants.

She had giant elephant ear plants, gorgeous hydrangeas, gladiolas, purple Japanese iris, and lavender hostas. Her prize flower and favorite to show off was her moon plant, that only blooms at night.

Carrie developed a love for golf and often spent time driving golf balls into her back yard golf net. She loved her cat Seymour, and watching her favorite crime drama, Law and Order.

Survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Renee Carter of Summerville, SC, her nieces Madison and Morgan, of Summerville, SC and many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Joyce Carter, her nephew, Coleton William Carter, and grandparents, Seymour and Mary L. Carter and Raymond and Margueritte Johnson.

Arrangements for cremation have taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 2 – 4 PM at the Eagles Nest.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Foundation in memory of Bill Carter.
