Arena Football Coming To St. Louis Next Year

By Wyatt Hardy
The Arena Football League has recently announced that St. Louis will have a team next year. The league is relaunching after going bankrupt in 2019 and will be returning with 16 teams in 2024.
Arena football is a much faster-paced and higher-scoring version of the sport. The field is only 50 yards long, half the size of the NFL’s. There are four 15-minute quarters, with a 30-minute halftime after two.
St. Louis has proved itself to be one of the most energetic football cities in America. Last spring, the St. Louis Battlehawks had the highest attendance out of any other team in the XFL.
When the Rams left for Los Angeles in 2016, St. Louis and its surrounding areas were left hungry for some pigskin action.
Now the city will have two football teams next year, with a new AFL team debuting and the Battlehawks playing their third season. St. Louis continues to prove itself as one of the strongest football cities in America.
