Clifford A. Crosby

Clifford A. Crosby, known to friends and family as Cliff, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2023, in Bourbon, MO.
Born on November 20, 1928, in Manhattan, NY to William and Ann (Field) Crosby. Cliff grew up in Manhattan, NY, and later attended a military academy, where he developed a strong sense of discipline and commitment. He went on to serve his country as a proud veteran of the Air Force.
In his early years, Cliff was blessed with two children, Dixie and Kim. He met the love of his life, Dorothy Jones, in the late 1960s, and the two were united in marriage on September 25, 1970. Together, Cliff and Dorothy blended their families and continued raising their children in Saint Louis, Londell, and St. Clair. Eventually, they settled in Bourbon, MO, where they spent the last decade of their lives creating cherished memories.
Cliff was a simple man who enjoyed the outdoors and had a passion for fixing and tinkering with things. He and Dorothy loved to go junking together, always on the lookout for hidden treasures and unique finds. Cliff was known for his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and had a knack for haggling, often leaving people with a smile on their faces.
Cliff is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy of Bourbon, MO; four children: Ronald Niederjohn and wife Aleisa of New Melle, MO, Elaine Bote and husband Quinton of New Melle, MO, Angela Price of Union, MO, and Kim Crosby; three grandchildren: Thomas, Heather, and Kevin Price of Cuba, MO and Dillion Dildine of Winfield, MO; a host of great-grandchildren; and numerous friends and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dixie; step-son Donnie Niederjohn; and his parents, William and Ann.
Arrangements for cremation have taken place. No services are planned at this time.
