Robert F. Wulfert

Robert Francis Wulfert, affectionately known as Bob, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2023, in Cuba, MO. He was born in St. Louis, MO, and grew up in the Riverview Gardens area, where he attended school. Bob was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. His generosity, humor, and friendly nature will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
After a brief stint in the US Army, Bob began a long and successful career as a commercial truck driver. Over the course of 42 years, he was employed by KLLM Trucking, Schnucks Transportation, and eventually Napa Auto Parts. He married the love of his life, Doris Culp, on June 13, 1990. Together, they resided in Castle Pointe and enjoyed over thirty-two happy years together. In the fall of 2022, recent health issues prompted a move to Sullivan to be closer to family.
Bob was a devoted animal lover and an avid fan of Cardinals baseball. He enjoyed trying his luck with scratch-off crossword puzzle lottery tickets. Bob loved catfish Fridays and spending time with his neighbor buddies, Jeff and Rich. He was also a regular at McDonald's, where he frequently indulged in his favorite treat, Cardinal slushes.
A man of many interests, Bob was known for his generosity, humor, and friendly nature. He could often be found striking up conversations with strangers, offering a helping hand to those in need, or simply sharing a laugh with friends and family. His warm personality and genuine kindness left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.
Bob is survived by his sons, Barry Culp and wife, Beth of Cuba, MO, Brian Culp and wife, Brenda of Villa Ridge, MO, Bruce Wulfert of Bolivar, MO, Jeffrey Wulfert, and adopted son, Rodney Fleiger of Hawk Point, MO.
