Larry W. Joyce, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on May 8,

2023, in Sullivan, Missouri. Born on April 15, 1947, in New Madrid, Missouri, Larry was known for his

strong work ethic, love for his family, and faith in God.

Larry grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, where he attended school and began his lifelong journey as a

hard worker. He spent twenty-three years working at Foster Brothers, manufacturing hospital beds

before joining Sunnen Products in St. Louis, where he worked until his retirement in 1999.

On Christmas Day in 1969, Larry married the love of his life, Shirley Chandler. He became father to

Everett and later welcomed their daughter, Shari, into the world. The family resided mainly in Cedar

Hill, Missouri, while raising their children. In 1996, Larry and Shirley built their dream home in

Stanton, Missouri, where they would spend their remaining years together.

As a young man, Larry enjoyed hunting, camping, and dancing with Shirley. Later in life, he found joy

in watching westerns, doing word search puzzles, and listening to old-time country music. His faith in

God was of utmost importance to him, and he had a vast knowledge of the Bible and enjoyed reading

Christian literature.

Family was the cornerstone of Larry's life, and he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.

His sarcastic sense of humor and wit brought laughter and joy to all who knew him. Larry will be

remembered as a loving, funny, and faith-filled man who made a lasting impact on the lives of those

around him.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Shirley; daughter, Shari Bury (and husband, Steve) of

St. Clair, MO; five grandchildren: Noelle, James, Cody, Adam, and Brandon; two sisters: Sandy

Chandler (and husband, Frank) of Wesco, MO and Debbie Joyce (and companion, John Schlegel) of

Chesterfield, MO; daughter-in-law, Kristi Shepard of O'Fallon, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews,

and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his son, Everett; his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law,
