Hayden Helton, 8, of Sullivan, Missouri passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Hayden Ronald Michael Helton was born July 7, 2014 in Saint Louis to Michael and Stephanie (Douglas) Helton. From the moment Hayden was born, he began defying all odds. Doctors only gave Hayden a short time to live, many expected only a day or at most a few months. God however had a different plan for Hayden’s life and he was later discharged home from Childrens Hospital Cardiac ICU after a year and a half.

Hayden was so full of life and loved everything Toy Story and Paw Patrol. He was a wonderful little brother and enjoyed spending time with his siblings and family. Hayden was always a compassionate and sweet little guy who never missed the chance to snuggle. He had a special way of showing people how much he loved them.

Hayden loved to spend time outside, splashing in the water or simply looking at the window. He especially enjoyed light up toys and dancing to the vibrations of music. He will be so dearly missed and lovingly  remembered.

He is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Stephanie Helton of Sullivan, MO; four siblings: Brian, Brooklyn, Breanna and Lillian Helton; grandparents: Michelle Helton and significant other Donald Robertson of Union, MO, David Helton of Londell, MO, and Betty Douglas of Sullivan, MO; four uncles: Morgan Helton of Londell, MO, Mason Helton and significant other Hope of Union, MO, John Douglas and wife Melissa of Bourbon, MO and Kaleb Douglas and wife Halley of Steelville, MO; an aunt, Melissa Helton and significant other Derek of Sullivan, MO; other relatives and family friends.

Hayden was preceded in death by his uncle, Matt Helton; and both paternal and maternal great-grandparents.

Funeral Services for Hayden will be 12 PM, Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Eaton Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Dudley officiating.

Visitation will be 10 – 12 PM, Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charge Syndrome Foundation.
