Larry E. Britton

Larry E. Britton, 53, of Sullivan, Missouri passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Barnes Jewish Hospital – Saint Louis.
Larry Eugene Britton was born March 19, 1969 in Sullivan, Missouri to Junior and Seline (Coplin) Britton. He grew up and attended school in Sullivan, Missouri before going to work at the local Bobber Café. Following his employment there he worked various jobs in HVAC work, underground cable, and truck towing. Most recently, Larry cut firewood and was a self-employed woodsman for several years.
Earlier in life, Larry met Mary “Katie” Hillstrom in 1992 and was blessed with two children, Cody and Ciara. They later were united in marriage in 2008. Sadly, Katie later passed away.
Larry was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time fishing, and hunting especially with his best friend Roger. Larry also treasured time camping with his children and spoiling them every chance he got. He would often times take Ciara out for breakfast every Saturday morning.
Larry was also a talented cook, biscuits and gravy and bacon were his staples. He also loved sweets, milk and a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
He later met the love of his life, Lynn Hall in 2012. Together they shared countless memories and good times with their very dear friends, Roger and Crystal Pyatt.
Larry was always a kind and caring man who never met a stranger. He will be so dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many.
A special mention to Derrick Britton, Don and Dottie Ware, Jonathan and Sonja, Hambone, Ziggy and other extended family for their friendship and love for Larry.
He is survived by his love of his life, Lynn Hall of Sullivan, MO; two children: Ciara Britton of Bourbon, MO and Cody Britton of St. Peters, MO; a grandson, Christian Reams; a brother, Scott Britton and wife Sue of Leasburg, MO; a sister, Teresa Voss and husband Robert of Strain Japan, MO; best friend who is like a brother, Roger Pyatt and wife Crystal of Bourbon, MO; his pup, Gronk; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katie; parents: Junior & Seline; two brothers, David and Dennis Britton; two sisters, Elsie Brake and Patricia Britton; and a beloved pup, Donkey.
Arrangements for cremation have taken place. No services are planned at this time.
