Sullivan’s Lady Eagles Basketball At Union Tournament

The Sullivan Lady Eagles traveled to Union this week. They played in three games during the stacked tournament. They won the first game against New Haven by nine, 47-38. Sullivan was defeated by Jefferson City, 30-20, and fell to Southern Boone, 59-27. Official stats were unavailable for the Jefferson City and Southern Boone games.

The Lady Eagles defeated the Lady Shamrocks on Monday, 47-38. The two teams tied in points in the first quarter with nine. Sullivan outscored New Haven in the second quarter and the two teams tied in points again in the third. The Lady Eagles secured the win when they outscored New Haven by four points.
Abby Peterson led in points with 18 and Molly Lohden followed with ten. Dakayla McClain secured eight points. Olivia Witt landed seven. Hayli Venable and Delaney George each recorded two.
Sullivan’s defense was exceptional and forced nineteen turnovers. They recorded a total of 13 steals. Peterson led with six. Lohden sealed three. Witt got two. McReynolds and George each had one. The Lady Eagles tallied a total of 16 rebounds. Peterson led with nine and was followed by McReynolds with four. Lohden, McClain and Witt each finished with one.
