Rosella Tutterrow

Rosella Tutterrow, 82, of Owensville, MO, formerly of Sullivan, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022, at Mercy Hospital, Washington, MO.
Rosella was born on December 23, 1939 in Portageville, MO to Arthur and Frieda (Carson) Worley. She grew up and attended school near Desoto, MO graduating with the class of 1957 from Desoto High School. After graduation, Rosella moved with her family to St. Louis where she would eventually meet the love of her life, Murell Tutterrow. The couple were married on November 15, 1958 in Richwoods, MO and to this union there were three children: Gene, Cheryl, & Cathy. Together over the years, Murell and Rosella lived in various places in Missouri while they raised their family. While Murell worked different jobs, Rosella maintained the home and enjoyed being a homemaker and raising the family. After spending time in Pevely, MO, they moved to Bloomsdale, MO shortly after Murell’s retirement. In 2020, they moved to the Sullivan area to be near family.
Rosella was committed to her faith in Jesus Christ. Throughout her life, she was devoted to her local church by being involved in: Sunday School teaching, helping with GMA, cooking in the kitchen and bringing kids to church and VBS. Rosella was fond of cooking, canning and gardening. Rosella also found great interest in all types of embroidery and sewing, often making clothing for herself, her kids, and others. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Rosella is survived by her husband, Murell; her children: Gene Tutterrow and his wife, Debbie of Owensville, MO, Cheryl Johnson of Bourbon, MO, and Cathy Johnston and her husband, Bob of Blackwell, MO; three brothers: Art “Bud” Worley of Robertsville, MO, Bob Hinton of Desloge, MO, and Aubrey Worley and his wife, Jan of St. Louis MO; a sister: Joann Brown and her husband, Earl of Leadwood, MO; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Bob Johnson.
Funeral Services were 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, MO with Pastors David Wright and Danny Wisely officiating. Burial followed at Cave Spring Cemetery, Sullivan, MO.
Visitation was 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home.
