Pamela K. Rowden, 66, of Sullivan, Missouri passed away at Life Care Center of Sullivan on Monday, October 10, 2022.

Pamela Kay Rowden was born on March 21, 1956 in Saint Louis, Missouri to Elzia and Opal (Adkins) Rowden. She attended High Ridge Elementary and St. Clair High School. Following high school, Pamela furthered her education at East Central College, where she took classes pertaining to business and secretarial work.

In Pam’s earlier years, she worked various places locally, including Midwest Footwear, Paramount, and the Bank of Bourbon. She then went to work for a privately owned marketing company in Maryland Heights before returning to the Bank of Bourbon, where she remained until her health would no longer allow her to work.

Pam’s faith was something that was very important to her. She was a faithful member of St. Anthony Catholic Church of Sullivan. She thrived by simply loving and helping others.

Pam enjoyed going to yard sales and was always on the lookout for a good bargain. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends and family, especially “Hand & Foot”. Pam could talk to anyone and everyone and was a social butterfly wherever she went. She was always able to see the good in others. Pam was always smiling and bloomed wherever she was planted. She will be so dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Pam is survived by her siblings: Boyd Rowden and wife Deborah of West St. Clair, MO, Verline Hart and husband Henry of Park Hills, MO, Sandy Rowden of Bourbon, MO, and Mark Rowden and wife Wendy of Farmington, MO; two sisters-in-law, Sherry Adkins and Ginny Rowden; two brothers-in-law, Gary Elder and Terry Umfleet; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings: Myrl Adkins, Lonnie Rowden, Nancy Elder, and Marian Umfleet; and a nephew, Wayne Elder.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2022 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
