Kathleen (Roberts) Gregory

Kathy L. (Roberts) Gregory, 65, of Sullivan, Missouri passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Cuba Manor, surrounded by her loving family.

Kathleen Lynn Roberts was born December 2, 1956 to Ronnie and Carolyn (Jones) Roberts in Sullivan, Missouri. She grew up and attended school in both Missouri and Texas, eventually moving back to Sullivan and graduated in the Sullivan High School class of 1975.

After school, Kathy went to work for M&M Motors and Walmart. During that time, she married and was blessed with a daughter Marissa Noelle. Kathy had a heart for teaching and enjoyed working for Parents First Teachers and Head Start programs. Eventually Kathy went back to school and furthered her education where she obtained a teaching degree and began teaching special education for the Sullivan and Bourbon school district. She also would become very integral in helping with the Special Olympics.

Kathy remarried and found herself relocating to California for several years before returning back to Sullivan to make her final home.

Outside of her passion for teaching, Kathy loved to craft, embroider, quilt and even once created her own line of greeting cards. Kathy was a faithful and involved member of New Testament Baptist Church and loved people just as Jesus does. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Kathy is survived by her daughter Marissa Jones and husband Kent of Bourbon, MO; her father Ronnie Roberts of Sullivan, MO; three grandchildren: Noah, Emma and Brynn Jones of Bourbon, MO; a sister Kim Pinnell and husband Greg of Sullivan, MO; a brother Rich Roberts and wife Dawn of Bourbon, MO; numerous nieces: Jennifer Clark and husband Jarid of Washington, MO, Lyndsay Douglas of Union, MO, Lyssa Winkler and husband Matt of Sullivan, MO, and Haleigh McMeen and husband Cody of Bourbon, MO; two nephews, Jon Roberts of Sullivan, MO; Caleb Roberts of Bourbon, MO; great nieces: Emma and Ashlyn Douglas, and Shelby McMeen; great nephews: Masin, Boston, Jensen, & Hudson Clark; and other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Roberts; a brother, Jon Roberts; and nephew, Curt Pinnell.

Cremation arrangements have taken place. A Remembrance Memorial Service will be 12 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at New Testament Baptist Church with Pastors Dave and Josh Wright Officiating.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at New Testament Baptist Church.
