Wanda Lee Timlin

Wanda Lee Timlin (Smith), 85, of Sullivan, MO, passed away at her home on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
Wanda was born in Lilbourn, MO, on January 19, 1937, to Pearl Alfred and Rosie Leona (Gray) Smith. She grew up and attended various schools in southeast Missouri. Wanda was united in marriage to Patrick J. Timlin on December 22, 1956, in East St. Louis. To this marriage they were blessed with five children. They moved to Sullivan in 1968, where they raised their family on a farm in Spring Bluff.
Wanda was employed by Ramsay Corporation for a time, before going to work as a cook for the Spring Bluff School district for many years. She eventually retired from there.
Wanda enjoyed games, slot machines, reading, and spending time with her family for the holidays. She also enjoyed attending craft shows and crafting with her daughter, Tina. They created the name Mother/Daughter Creations for their crafts and would sell them to others. Wanda also loved Red Lobster and shopping trips. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family and friends.
Wanda is survived by four of her children: Patti Pounds and husband Robbie of Sullivan, MO, Tina Sohn and husband Jack of Sullivan, MO, Tony Timlin and wife Susan of Leslie, MO, and Samantha “Sami” Starr and husband JJ of Bourbon, MO; eleven grandchildren: Kami Farrell and husband Todd, Barry Hicks and significant other, Kristina Edwards, Anna Hicks, Mahala Timlin, Marisa Timlin, A.J. Timlin and wife Haylee, Joe Timlin, Jacob Timlin, Dalton Conrad, Trent Starr, and Madison Starr; six great-grandchildren: Augustus, Hollis, Bryce, Alysssa, Jayden, and Kingsley; one sister, Clara M. Lane and husband John of Warrenton, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick J. Timlin; one son, William J. “Bill” Timlin; one grandson, Ryley Conrad; her parents, Pearl and Rosie Smith; and four brothers: Allen, Bearl, Earl, and Terry.
Funeral Services were 12 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, with Father Tim Henderson officiating. Interment followed in Holy Martyrs Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service at Eaton Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions in Wanda’s memory may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and/or Holy Martyrs Cemetery.
