Sullivan Duo Finish Sixth At State

Ty Shetley and Jordan Rice finished sixth place on Saturday at the Class 2 state wrestling meet.
Shetley (160) lost a 3-1 decision in the consolation semifinal against Helias’ Logan Montoya. The defeat set him back to the fifth place match against Cassville’s Jake Anthonysz, who won a 3-2 tiebreaker.
Shetley ended his high school career with two all-state finishes.
Rice (195) was defeated by Southern Boone’s Dane Donigian by a 9-4 decision. In the fifth place match, he lost by fall to Helias’ Tanner Nappier.
