Travis Eugene Scroggins

Travis Eugene Scroggins, 44, of Sullivan, MO, passed away at his home in Woodland Lakes on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
Travis was born August 13, 1977 in Jefferson City, MO, to Bill Eugene and Peggy Lee (Hayes) Scroggins. He attended Christian school up until the 11th grade and graduated from Granite City Senior High School, class of 1996. Travis was employed in the copier industry, in waste management, and did some mechanic work on heavy equipment.
Travis loved “old” country music and played the bass guitar in several bands. At the age of 16, he played the bass at the Grand Olé Opry, which was a very proud moment for him. Travis was united in marriage to Christina Michelle Lance on December 11, 2016. He had two beautiful children from a previous marriage, Jordan and Isabel. In his free time, Travis enjoyed customizing his truck and spending time with his family and close friends. He was a very caring individual who always tried to take care of others. Travis will be missed by his loving family and friends.
Travis is survived by his wife, Christina Scroggins, of Sullivan, MO; two children, Jordon and Isabel Scroggins, both of Granite City, IL; his parents, Bill and Peggy Scroggins of Sullivan, MO; three step-children: Kimberly Lance of Granite City, IL, Mikayla Jolly of Sullivan, MO and Carli Berris of Natrona, WY; as well as other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held 12 p.m., Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home, with Pastor Matt Dudley officiating. Interment followed in Bourbon Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the service at Eaton Funeral Home.
