Jody Aldrich

Jody Aldrich, 87, of Sullivan, MO, passed away at her home, with her husband by her side, on Saturday, September 18, 2021.
Carmaletta “Jody” Meek was born on November 15, 1933 in Hollis, Oklahoma, to William Oscar and Nancy Leona (Blevins) Meek. As a young girl, her family moved to California, where she grew up and attended school. Jody lived in various places, including Texas and Nevada. While living in Las Vegas, she worked in the hotel industry as a telephone operator. Jody was united in marriage to Alfred Aldrich on September 10, 1970 in Oklahoma. While Alfred worked outside of the home, Jody helped raise his two daughters, Carolyn and Barbara. The family eventually made their home in Sullivan, while Alfred was employed by Pea Ridge Mine.
Throughout their years together, Alfred and Jody loved to travel and ride motorcycles. They enjoyed many trips around the country. Jody also loved fishing and boating, camping, and going to yard sales. Alfred and Jody attended Meramec Valley Baptist Church in Bourbon.
Jody is survived by her loving husband, Alfred Aldrich, of Sullivan, MO; two daughters, Carolyn Flour of Fresno, CA, and Barbara Chapman of Honda, TX; brothers-in-law: Lloyd McCrite and wife, Julie, Donald McCrite, Richard McCrite and wife, Shirley, all of Rolla, MO; special friends, Marty and Blanca Glaese of Cuba, MO; numerous other extended relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nancy Meek; two brothers, Guy and J.J. Meek; and two sisters, Gracie Gable and Hazel Hall.
Graveside Services were held 11:15 a.m., Thursday, September 23, 2021 in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Erik Williams.
