Mary A. Dependahl

Mary A. Dependahl, 80, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Sunday, September 12, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Mary Ann Dependahl was born on March 9, 1941 in Saint Charles, Missouri to John and Charlene (Post) Bizelli. She grew up and attended school in the Borromeo Catholic grade school then later graduating from the Saint Charles High School class of 1958.
Following graduation, she began working at various nursing homes. This is when her passion for taking care of other began. Throughout her earlier years in life, Mary was blessed with four daughters: Margie, Brenda, Dawn & Melanie.
Mary worked not only in nursing homes, but also worked as a hospice nurse for some time and even as a home health nurse. Because of her experience of working in the nursing home industry, she began operating her own residential care out of her own home where she took 24/7 care of four ladies.
She was always thinking of others’ needs, long before she would give a thought to her own. Her sense of humor and caring spirit will be so dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many.
Mary is survived by three daughters: Brenda Strothcamp and husband Dennis, of Sullivan, MO, Margie Arnaud of Sullivan, MO, and Dawn Jackson and husband Charles of Houston, TX; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry Bizelli and wife Sandra of Vandalia, MO; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melanie; husband, Jere Dependahl; her parents; 2 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and two brothers, Richard Bizelli and John “Jack” Bizelli Jr.
Cremation arrangements have taken place. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
Friends may send their online condolences to Mary’s family at www.eatonfuneralhome.com.
All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Sullivan.
